The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Hotel and/or Food & Beverage industry, preferably from a high-end hotel or restaurant—and possess solid experience in accounting and event management. We offer a workplace where no two days are alike, challenges are met with creativity and teamwork, and leadership is demonstrated through care and collaboration.

Step into a rare and respected role at the heart of an ambassadorial residence, where your leadership and professionalism will be central to its success.

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Managing the daily operations of the residence, including planning and coordinating events with the team.

    • Supervising three residence staff members, ensuring smooth communication, task delegation, and high performance.

    • Event planning and execution – develop event proposals, coordinate logistics with internal staff, external vendors, and additional hired personnel to ensure events are delivered successfully and within budget.

    • Strong collaboration skills are essential – the selected candidate must be able to work effectively with others, including temporary or external event staff, to ensure seamless coordination and execution.

    • Managing the residence calendar and scheduling activities in alignment with the Principal’s needs.

    • Budget oversight – maintain accurate records of purchases and prepare accounting reports for the Principal.

    • Ensuring the residence is maintained to a high standard, including cleanliness, functionality, and overall appearance.

    • Staff leave management – maintain up-to-date records of annual and sick leave, oversee scheduling to ensure coverage at all times.

    • Handling front-of-house duties – answer doors, phones, and take messages as needed.

    • Liaising with the General Services team to coordinate repairs, order supplies, and manage appointments.

    • Meal preparation and service in the absence of the residence cook.

In addition, you have the following qualification:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage and/or Hotel Management or a similar field.

    • Strong administrative and accounting skills.

    • Proficiency in Danish (minimum conversational level) and fluent English (spoken and written).

    • A service-minded approach with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

    • Proven ability to lead a team and manage events with professionalism and grace.

    • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal staff and external partners.

The selected candidate is expected to be on duty according to the services required and as directed by the Principal. The weekly schedule is on average 40 hours – primarily Monday thru Friday, but it is expected that the applicant will be available to work longer hours for events. Changes may occur with short notice and flexibility is essential.

The selected candidate must reside in Denmark and have the required work, and residency permits to be eligible for the position.

The applicant will be subject to an extensive background security check.

Annual leave is 25 days per year plus approx. eight days of additional holidays per year. The employee will be offered enrollment in ATP and a private pension scheme with PFA.
