Sommelier at Restaurant Barr

Are you Interested in joining a passionate team in Copenhagen? Restaurant Barr is looking for a sommelier to help shape our beverage experience, and be a part of the next phase in the restaurants lifespan.

At Barr, our drinks program is an extension of our culinary philosophy—rooted in Northern European traditions, but always evolving. As part of our team, you’ll work hands-on in our cellar and collaborate with skilled brewers, distillers, roasters, and other craftspeople. Each season, you will oversee the creativity and management of pairings, of both natural wines and classic wines. House-made infusions of specialty teas, to coffee, beer, and cocktails.

This role is more than just wine service. You’ll be involved in the full rhythm of the restaurant, contributing to guest experience as a senior section waiter and learning the ins and outs of our daily operations. We value curiosity, flexibility, and a genuine love for hospitality.

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of three years’ experience working with both  natural wine, along with  a solid foundation in classic wine styles. You should be professional, open-minded, and collaborative, with a strong sense of team spirit. At Barr, we believe in growing together and creating a supportive, inspiring workplace.

Salary is negotiable and based on experience but besides that, we offer 5 weeks vacation, standard Danish healthcare (free doctor and hospital), plus additional private healthcare provided by Barr which includes dental, physiotherapy, osteopath, psychologist and more.

About Barr

Barr is a casual restaurant and bar, a place to drop by with friends or family for a beer and a snack, a quick dinner, or a full tasting menu offering our classics and favorite dishes. We are open for dinner seven days a week, and serve lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We offer an à la carte menu as well as a four-course set menu, which changes throughout the year.
